Adding Images and Movies to the palette

The palette is linked to an image and movie folders on your computer.  By adding images and movies to these folders you will be able to access those graphics through the palette.


The Default Folders

By default all of the image folders are kept in the image folder in the Master Data File.  Typically this folder can be found at C:/Synapx/MasterData/Images.  Inside this folder you will see several folders that contain images.  These folders make up the image subsets in the palette. For example, if the Image folder contains a folder called "Misc" and another folder called "Backgrounds" then the Image tab on the palette will give you access to the "Misc" image set and the "Background" image set.   Adding a new folder to the Image folder will add a new image subset to the palette.

The movies are organized the same way as the images.  The movie folder is located at C:/Synapx/MasterData/Movies. Any movies you place in a subfolders of this folder will be accessible through the palette.

The songs are organized the same way as the images and momies.  The song folder is located at C:/Synapx/MasterData/Songs. Any songs you place in a subfolders of this folder will be accessible through the palette.

The Bibles are organized under one folder. These are zip type files. A unzip utily can be provided; The Bible folder is located at C:/Synapx/MasterData/Bibles. Any Bibles you place in a subfolders of this directory will be accessible through the palette.



NOTE images and songs can be taken from the deskop and dropped into the palette and visa versa
NOTE movies can be taken from the deskop and dropped into the movie palette but not visa versa

Changing the Default Folders

Click the Edit Properties Button


The user can change the folder location that are linked to the palette. 

  1. Click the "Edit Properties" button on the toolbar and select Data Locations from the dropdown menu.


  2. Click the elipsis button (...) to locate a new directory for you images,songs,movies....
