Results Window

The Results Window displays the results for the current program.  The Results Window works like a results collection and keeps track of every result tool in all loaded sequences. The Result Window can generate reports for any measurement that has been done, it can export historical data, it creates SPC charts for every result set and, in configuration mode, it allows result tolerances to be edited.

Generating Reports/Exporting Data

Click on the Result Window to Export or Report Data.Once several inspections have been done it is possible to generate reports that can be printed, and files that can be saved.  Right-clicking anywhere on the Results Window will display a menu with several options.

The Generate Report option will create a report of the most recent judgment by each result tool in the system.  This report will include the Product Name, a time stamp, the measurement and whether that measurement passed or failed.  This report can be viewed in the Info page of the Results Window or printed.  

The Generate Sample Report option will create a report of the most recent sample data.  This report will include the Product Name, a time stamp, the measurement data for each measurement in the sample, as well as the XBar, Range and Sigma for each sample group.  This report can be viewed in the Info page of the Results Window or printed.  

The Export - xml option creates a .xml file of all the historic data and judgments logged in the system.  These files can be accessed on the hard drive, and viewed in the Info page of the Results Window or printed.

The Export - csv option creates a .csv file of all the historic data and judgments logged in the system.  These files can be accessed on the hard drive.

Viewing SPC Charts

The Results Window generates an SPC chart for every characteristic.  These SPC charts can be accessed by using the blue right-arrow on the results tab, or by clicking the results tab to display the other windows available within the Results Window.

Use the Result Window to access the SPC charts.

When in Configuration Mode the SPC charts can be reset to give the optimal view for the current data and tolerances.  Click on the Result Window and choose "Auto Set SPC Tolerances".

The way the data is displayed in the SPC charts is determined by the Sample Size.  Click anywhere on the Result Window and choose "New Sample Size" to set the sample size for all the results in the Result Window.

The SPC charts can be viewed as an XBar Range or a histogram.  Click on the Results Window and choose "View Histograms" to convert all the SPC charts.  If the data is already in Histogram form then choose "View XBar Range" to view the data as an XBar Range chart.

Edit Result Tolerances

When in Configuration Mode the Tolerances for each characteristic can be edited from the Result Window.  Click on any result name in the Result Window to launch its property page.  Navigate to the "Tolerance" page to edit the tolerances for that result.  Accessing the Tolerance page this way is the same as accessing the Tolerance page through the result tool that judges the measurement to begin with.

Other Result Window Functions

Show Current: Refreshes the display to the last measured values
Delete Last Measurement Removes the last measurement. This is remove form the SPC data and allows an erroneous measurement to be removed.
Sort Sort the Characteristics alphabetically
ResetClears all logged data.  Once Reset has been selected the data cannot be exported because it has been deleted.
Gauge R&R Does a Reproducibility Repeatability analysis for the current data points
