Histogram Angle
The Histogram Angle tool creates a histogram based on the angels it finds within its ROI.
Using the Histogram Angle Tool
Position the tool's ROI on
the image viewer. When the tool is run it will create a histogram
of the angels present in the ROI on the tool's "Scene Angle" page.
Once the tool is run its statistics can be picked up by the Histogram Statistics and Histogram Peak Statistics tools.
Setting the Parameters
EdgeFilter
can be set to none, 3x3, or 5x5. This averages the pixes in a 3x3
or 5x5 box. The higher settings will increase the speed of the
tool but lower the accuracy.
NBSmootherIterations will smooth the image before it is analyzed by the tool. The higher the value the more smoothing.
MinMagnitude
sets the strength of an angle necessary to be considered by the tool.
The higher this value the stronger an angle needs to be in order
to be seen by the tool.
BinSize
sets how many angles will be incorporated into a single value in the
histogram. By default this is set to one, so each angle has a
unique value. If it is set to 2 then two angles will be combined
into a single value in the histogram.
StartAngle sets the histogram offset. If this value is set to 30 then the entire histogram will be shifted to the right 30 degrees.
HistoSmoothing is the amount of smoothing applied to the histogram curves. The higher the value the more smoothing is applied.
