Filter 2

This component allows morphological operations to be performed on an image. (current support mono images only)

Using the Filter 2 Tool

The Inputs Page
With this tool the user has the ability to input an image file into the Inputs page of the tool. This can either be by allowing the tools default settings to choose the image that is in the CIF Viewer or by choosing an image and dragging and dropping it into the CIF position of the inputs page. The inputs page also has a default Region of Interest (ROI) that will allow the user to narrow the filter to be completed on a specific area of the image.

The Parameters Page
The parameters page allows the user to set what type of filter will occur to the image. The user may use the drop down menu located next to each option to change the type of filtering that will occur.
Filter: can be either an ArgyleMacleod 5x5 filter or a Sobel 3x3 filter.
Image: with one of these options the tool will only filter the part of the image specified in the chosen option. This could be either horizontal, vertical, magnitude, or angle.
Show Image: This will change how and if the image will be changed and so on. The options are Separate: this will only filter what is in the ROI and will only display that part within the viewer, OnOriginal: this will change the original image, Off: this turns the tool off so that changes will not be made to the images when it is run.
Refresh Viewer: gives options to the user about how the image will appear. The options are Image, None, Overlay, All.
